How can you provide free services?
Parties for Humanity relies on a committed group of volunteers who are willing to forgo their usual earnings to help out a good cause.

Are you as good as paid service providers?
Yes and No. In many cases, our services are provided by professionals who do this type of work full-time. Other skills are offered by amateurs or part-time professionals. While we are quite proud of the quality of our services, we are careful to not over-represent our abilities. We will turn down any event that we believe is beyond our capabilities. Our group is trying to fill in the gap between trying to do it yourself, and hiring someone to do it for you -- a gap we think many non-profits find themselves in.

Are you reliable?
Yes. Before committing to any event we will provide a clearly written agreement detailing the services we will provide. We will work closely with you to be sure you are getting exactly what you need for your event.

What do you consider to be a "non-profit" organization?
In general, we consider "non-profit" organizations to be those with a 501(c)(3) tax status. However, depending on the specific organization, and the purpose of the event, we might consider exceptions to this. Email us with the particular circumstances of your organization if you have any questions.

Can you provide liquor or food?
Due to legal restrictions on the sale of liquor and food, we can not provide these for your event at this time. Similarly, while we provide entertainment equipment for free (lights, sound systems, tables, canopies, etc), we do not provide free consummables (cups, napkins, tablecloths).

What if we are a corporation or individual that want your services?
While we are committed to providing free assistance to non-profits, if you have a private or corporate event that you need help with, we are happy to put you in touch with our members who are willing to provide their services on a more traditional basis (for $$).

Why were we turned down?
Obviously, there is high demand for free services. Unfortunately, we are unable to assist every organization that applies. The provision of services is at the sole discretion of our members.
