Parties for Humanity is a volunteer organization consisting of more than 50 local artists, performers, event planners, models, dancers, musicians, photographers, economists, physicists, reporters, nurses, government wonks, and contractors.

We all work very hard at our jobs. Like many people in DC, however, we have come to appreciate the value of using our time and hard earned skills to accomplish something other than the accumulation of money.

As a group, we are very good at throwing parties. Collectively, we have more than 100 years experience coordinating and throwing events. Small parties. Huge parties. Formal events. Fund raisers. All night dance parties. Office parties. Bizarre theme parties. Press conferences. Art festivals. Corporate events.

Thus, in late 2005 we decided to offer up our diverse skills and experience to deserving non-profit organizations in the Washington DC area.
